No more teachers, no more books

Can you believe it, the girls are going to be finishing up their first year of school (kindergarten) next week. It was only a couple of postings ago they started. And what a year it has been. The girls have really flourished this past school year, learning and making friends. They are also physically growing quick. Even to the point that I notice how tall they are getting and how much more mature they act (sometimes :-) ) The girls are really looking forward to 1st grade. I promise I will work on getting up more pictures this weekend.

I’ve taken on the position of AVP of Network Administrations for a small credit union here in San Diego. I really love this job. First, the shop is small and I’ve pretty moved most of my equipment from home to here (like servers, switches, etc) which has really made my office at home quieter and roomer. I also am able to us a lot more of my skills rather than just focusing on web server administration. I am coding again and starting to get into other languages.

Bek is working for a local hospital doing the scheduling for all the departments making sure everyone has enough nurses etc.

Still playing baseball. We just got back from one of our yearly tournaments that we play. This one was the Memorial Day tournament in Vegas. We won pool play but lost in the playoffs. Oh well, there’s always next year.

David, Bek’s step father, has been diagnosed with leukemia. He was ill for awhile and has started treatment. He is doing better now and is always in our thoughts.

One of my nieces finally graduated from high school. That was no small task and we are all very proud of her.
