OK, this is mainly for my Geek friends. Got invited to try out Yahoo’s New Beta Email. It is very nice, much nicer than Google’s GMail. It has tabs and in interface is very easy to use. The line between traditional email clients like Outlook or Apple Mail and web based emails like Yahoo is getting very blurred with this release. It feels like you are in any normal application. Even the contacts section uses AJAX. When Yahoo finally do release this I think it is going to make a big splash.
Some other cool features, you can ‘Flag’ messages. That is really nice and I actually use that feature a lot. Low points, I use Firefox and the Spell Check function, at this time, does not work under Firefox. Bad Yahoo, very very Bad. Haven’t tried any of my other machines so my entire experience at this point has just been on my Windows machine.
