I just love this concept. I can imagine homes of the future being built with this technology built into it. The thought of just laying down your phone or MP3 player on the table and it getting charged while there is just cool.

Just something I came across and thought I would post about. This is a video about a “green project” called Air Trees. Pretty cool, would love to see one of these in person and feel how effective it is.

They produce climates and energy in a couple of different ways from cooling down the air to traditional solar power. Very cool stuff.

I was asked to speak at a small event here is San Diego about a week ago. I quickly came to the realization that I am not much of a public speak, sober anyways. It’s not that I was nervous or anything, I just suck at speaking to large crowds.

Now, it’s typical for me to rant and rave and yap about myself here on my blog, but I was extremely surprised and honored when Michael Baum, the CEO of the company I did the speaking for (Splunk), gave me a generous write up on his blog. One word, INSANE!

Oh yeah, its coming. Mark you calendars now.

This is what Google does with their Gmail (email) and Google Talk (chat) products. When you log into Gmail, you have access to your Google Talk buddy list and can start chatting with them right there in the web browser. It’s been known to be convenient at times. Well it looks like you can now do the same thing with Yahoo which seems like a great idea to me.

I’ve seen this happen a couple of times and I still think its cool. What seemed like a sudden and random act a bunch of bees decided to all meet at the same time on the same tree branch. I’ve had it explained to me that what is actually happening is that a Queen Bee, who is a weaker flier than her drones, stopped to rest. All the other bees surround her to protect her.

They were like this for several days.

Typically, I don’t get too excited about concept cars. Usually they are so over the top or so far out from actually being offered to the public or more times than not so expensive that I know I will never be able to afford it. But this is one I think I might actually have a chance of getting some day.

The 2009 Chevrolet Camaro Concep

Some of you may know, a Camaro was the first car I ever bought on my own (back in 1990). I actually just gave the car up about 3 months ago. There is also a 2010 convertible version but I like this hard top.

OK this is another one for the, “THIS IS SOOO FREAKING COOL” category. This is like something you would see in Star Trek. It is looking at your veins and bones through your skin with no radiation (X-Ray). I want one of these.
